Somehow, a while back, I let the frozen fruit in my freezer build up. It began to become a monster, overtaking the whole space and attacking me by falling out every time I opened it. Matt may have complained. I was frankly annoyed by myself and all of my overzealous purchases.
So we started a new habit and for the last month or so, I’ve been making us smoothies everyday for breakfast. I actually have several new smoothie recipes to share with you that I will let filter in here and there over the next while. What I love about our new smoothie habit is how energized it makes me feel. It’s an amazing feeling to start your morning with something that tastes so good and is full of healthy vitamins and minerals.
Kale is an amazing addition to smoothies because it packs a serious vitamin punch. It’s one of the healthiest foods in the world and smoothies are a great way to get more of it in your diet. Just be sure you blend long enough to break it up very finely. Blueberries give you antioxidants (I know you know this) and shouldn’t be forgotten just because trendier foods like kale hog the spotlight. Try it out! You will feel amazing!
